“ The music I write wants to be an expression of my life in the present, however, it is strongly based on the musical knowledge of the past.”

I was born and raised in Rome, playing and studying the most diverse musical genres.
The cultural, artistic and religious heritage of my hometown have pushed me to expand on the music of the past from the point of view of notation, practice and composition.

I started working in the publishing and musicological field at a very young age, collaborating with the pianist and musicologist Pietro Spada. I collaborated with him on hundreds of historical musical editions.
My early work experience made me realize that a mere diploma in classical guitar was not enough to satisfy the work needs of knowledge of composition, orchestration and paleography; that's exactly how I decided to undertake the study of composition and musical arrangement in the academic field.
I was lucky enough to study with illustrious teachers, among the many I like to remember Maurizio Billi, Nicola Hanslik Samale and Federico Del Sordo.
To improve my orchestration technique, I then studied the following instruments: trumpet, alto and bass recorder, classical and electric guitar, lute, mandolin, piano, basso continuo and to conclude I dedicated many years of study to analyzing the vocal technique and the repertoire from the Middle Ages through to the early Baroque.
